Most people in Medieval Europe suffered in abject poverty, many driven to begging in the streets, their survival at the mercy of the passing nobility. In this game, players take on the role of lowly beggars. The winner is the player who can acquire the most alms to survive in the harsh world for another day.
This game was developed as a challenge. The folks at The Game Crafter sponsored a 24-game design competition at GrandCon some years ago, and I won - mostly based on the uniqueness of the theme I think. It turned out to be a fairly fun game, and is presently being tested and refined.I hope to have it available for 2021.
