Jul Gonu

Jul Gonu is one of a family of small Korean strategy games played since the 14th century. The name means “straight line game,” which relates to the game’s movement. The objective is to eliminate all but one of the opponent’s pegs, or all of them if you get the chance!

The moves are simple, the game space is small, but it is still a challenge. The game uses the unusual custodial capture” method by surrounding the opposing piece on either side removes it from the game. Such captures can also be made at the corners, and even two pegs can be captured in one move. When one player is down to one peg, the last player to move is the winner. Made in the USA for 2 players ages 8+.
