Oska

The Oska board is a unique configuration of diagonals, and each player gets just four pegs, red or black. The pieces start the game lined up on the nearest four spaces for each player. Moves are one space at a time, diagonally across the edges of each space. Pieces are captured by jumping, and when either player gets all of their un-captured pieces to the opponent’s starting row, the game is over and that player wins.

Bryn Jones was a British mine worker. The game board was originally scratched into the dust on the floor of a mine at Lancashire Coalfields to pass time at breaks. The game invented the game sometime in the 1950s, but it wasn’t until the ‘90s that the game was published. It’s a very unique and puzzley strategy game for 2 players. Made in the USA for players ages 8+.
