Grasshopper is an English game first published in the mid-1800s, but apparently already an old game by that time. It's played by two players on a grid of 64 squares, a traditional chess board.

The objective is simply to move all of your pieces from one corner into a mirrored pattern on the opposite corner, either by single moves or jumps which can be chained. No pegs are captured when they are jumped. The games of Halma and Chinese Checkers are derived from this smaller 2-player version. Made in the USA for two players age 8+.
